New photography home

Okay my friends, I have decided to make a photography blog. Photog is what the call it, i think?!?! I've heard it before, but shoot what do i know? Anyway, so it is:

www.mmacphotography.blogspot.com

It's nothing exciting, or cute. Nor does it have any new pictures on it that you haven't seen already. And there are still some tweaks that need to be made, but I just spent the last like... 5 hours working on it. That was most of my day off!! Ridiculous! I'm sick of looking at the computer screen!!

But the whole reason that I am making that website is because I am planning on fundraising my way to El Salvador (and Andrew's too) with photography. I was talking to Matt about it the other night and he gave me a REALLY good idea. I am still thinking and brainstorming the details (like just exactly how I will pull it off...ha!) so I will reveal the entire fundraising plan within the next couple of days. Until then, anticipate its arrival!:) I hope to pull it off, but I will need help getting the word out about it. Network, network, network!!! I'll also put it on facebook to help get the word out.

So...until then, check out my new blog. Oh, and I decided to go to mmac photography because it was my nickname throughout high school and in college. Well, it was Molly Mac...but I just made it mmac (it's not like 'mmmm-mac' with a continuous 'm' sound. More like 'mac' but spelled with two 'm's:)) Plus, that is the one nickname that I let Andrew call me (he used to call me Big Mac. Like, ALL THE TIME!! And I hated it. Or he'd call me McChicken. He really liked my maiden name because of all of the fast food names that are associated with it (which we potential nicknames for me!). Anyway, so I finally said he could call me Molly Mac since my friends called me that in high school. That way he could still use the "mac" part of fast-food nickname, and it wouldn't annoy me! Haha:) love it). Plus, I wanted to somehow associate Andrew to my photography because he is really the only reason why I have put myself out there and have tried as hard as I have to learn photography and get into it. I've always loved photography and always thought of it as an "unreachable" hobby. But, even before even before I bought a real camera or took any pictures, he told me that I was DEFINITELY already a good photographer:) Isn't that sweet? Haha! funny too because we'd always argue about it. He'd tell me "Molly, you are a good photographer! I just know you will do well once you buy a camera" (this was in September time, I think) and I would just roll my eyes and say "Andrew! How do you even know that. Stop saying it because if I suck then it'll just be that much worse." Haha! We'd have that conversation at least 3-4 times a week. And I'd always get annoyed that he believed in me so much. Hahha! That's funny. And that's my personality for you (stubborn).

Anyway, he loves me... and I love that I have a husband like Andrew. It makes dreams attainable (in a lot of ways, of course. I mean, a dream came true when I MARRIED him, haha:)). I love him!

Plus, mhun photography does NOT have a good ring to it. Haha:)

That's all. Thanks everyone for being my readers. I know it's all just family and a few friends, but hey! That's where it all starts, you know? You gotta grow somehow:)

Isn't that just one of our many jobs? I have a house full of cake decorating supplies and a sewing machine (still in the box) that can attest to that. Im glad he knows his role in all of this. I look forward to seeing your photog blog!
