Would anyone like to identify this spider for me?? What is it?? Is it poisonous? Deadly?
I didn´t scream when I saw it...I did stand on a chair for a while, but there was NO screaming involved. I was just completely freaked out....even when it was dead, it would twitch and I SWORE it was coming back to life. But eventually it stopped moving, so I took these pictures (and I arranged him around myself! Not too bad).
That is a half dollar beneath him...not a quarter. He was gigante.

I think that's a Loxosceles Kukulcania hibernalis, native to Central America, Mexico, and the Southwest. They are pretty poisonous, and highly attracted to money.

What the heck? I just combined two spider names to sound smart. No, a brown recluse is smaller than that. I looked up spiders and I don't think it is poisonous, as in lethal, though all spiders can bite you. I looked up poisonous spiders, and it wasn't one of them. SO no worries...unless it is on you. I hate spiders! How did you translate the scientific name? Google?
Kris, so funny! I thought you were joking (especially with the money comment...haha!) then Andrew looked up the name and it brought up brown recluse pictures. It freaked me out so I did some research and yeah...not a brown recluse. Haha:) THANKS FOR THE SCARE!!! Sheesh
