Yesss! Andrew and I are in North Carolina till May 9th...how awesome is that? Well, we basically spent ALL Thursday, Friday and Saturday packing and moving. It was a half nightmare with all of the other things that needed to be done ON TOP of packing and moving, but everything happened and that's all I was shooting for. It rained and it was freezing cold on Saturday, which makes moving couches and large object miserable. We were lucky and had about an hour break from the wet stuff while we moved our couch to my mom's house (because no one wanted it on KSL...it was cheap too! Oh well. We get to keep it at least.). It was an exhausting/stressful day. BUT, we are FINALLLLYYYYY out of our ghetto-est apartment we will (hopefully) ever have. It was tiny, freezing cold, the heaters left black soot all over the walls that doesn't wash off, and the bathroom was too small...along with everything else:) Anyway, we're glad to get out of there and to move on to bigger, better things!
Right now we're in North Carolina chillin' with Andrew's family. It is awesome. It's WARM (actually, it's pretty hot), the food is good, and Andrew's family is a lot of fun. ANNDD we're here till the 9th! THat means nearly two weeks of North Carolina goodness. I wouldn't mind living here someday. It is so nice.
AND THEN we are off to El Salvador!! We leave May 9th and arrive on May 10th (I'm pretty sure...I haven't checked the itinerary for a while, but think that's what it is). It's scary to think that we'll be going down there for three months...especially with this "swine flu" that is a big deal in Mexico. And how can we forget all of the drug cartel that is ALSO going on in Mexico? Hopefully El Salvador will be safe...which I'm pretty sure we'll be okay, so don't get your unders in a bunch. We're smart and know how to be safe in a third world country. Plus, it'll only be as dangerous as we allow...for the most part:) We just have to keep our valuables AT HOME and out of sight.
But thanks to EVERYONE for donating!! W-O-W!! I was blown away when they told me how much we received from friends and family. Over $3000!! We only had to pay $570...that was such a blessing, I can't even express how grateful I was when he told me how much was donated. We are sooo excited to go to El Salvador and it is such an opportunity to be able to go. We will make you all proud:) haha! It sounds cheesy, but we will work our butts off to make those orphans happy! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
Alright, so since I'm in NC, I got to see my sister and cute nephew!! Which of course means pictures!!
