Area Code 972

Today was a good day. I didn't have work (which makes the day 10x better automatically!), so I woke up around 8:30 to get ready to go on campus to take an oral proficiency test for my Spanish class. I showed up at 9:30 to meet with my professor and he wasn't there! Haha. Turns out his supervisor canceled the test (which he didn't let us know till 11:00AM by email...awesome), but it was fine because it got me out of bed. I ended up going back home to do some laundry and homework. I felt pretty productive...I got two entire loads done! WOO! The most I've done in...well, a long time.

While I was doing my laundry and reading, I missed a call from some random Utah number and there was a message left, so I called my voice mail to see who randomly called me (normally I get those telemarketer calls and their recordings are usually left on my answering machine...which is so annoying). The message was this girl, whose voice I didn't recognize at first, and she was like...Hi Molly! It's me. I was hoping you would answer your phone, but I'm waiting in the airport to go back to South America!" IT WAS BRILLANTE!!! AHH!! Oh my gosh! So I listened to her message and got all teary because I missed her call!! It was soooo good to hear voice (which I didn't recognize at first because she had a cold) and she was just waiting to fly to Argentina. Anyway, so as exciting it was to get her call, I was as equally (if not more) bummed that I didn't get to talk to her. So frustrating! If only I hadn't put my phone on vibrate...

The rest of the day was fine. I went to class at like 1:10 and was able to take my quiz...wheew! Then to Spanish, and after Spanish I decided to play on facebook and check out the net just for fun. I had my phone with me and while I was wasting my life away on the computer, this random number starting with area code 972 called me. I looked at and was like...probably just a telemarketer. But, I answered it JUST in case. And who do you think it was?? BRILLANTE!! Ahhhh!! Ohhhhh my gosh! I was SO excited!! I got all choked up and Brillante got emotional:) Haha! We're a bunch of girls. It was seriously one of the best things that could have happened yesterday:) She is my best friend for a reason...we just are on the same wave length. We talked for about 30 minutes. Longer than we probably should have...technically she wasn't supposed to call me since I'm not family, but she had a calling card and we're basically related:) She was waiting for her plane to Argentina in Dallas...or Houston, maybe? Anyway, It was hard to hang up because we just kept talking about everything. All I can say is that I am SO grateful that girl is my friend. She's such a good person... I was on a "i love my friends and family" high after talking with her. Haha:)

And that was my exciting moment of the day. I was just inexplicably happy after talking to Brillante. The update on her is that she's doing well. She arrived to Argentina sometime this morning/last night. She is really scared, feels like she's unprepared (as far as having things like scriptures memorized in Spanish, etc), but she can't wait to start going out and finding people to teach the gospel. I wish I were going with her!! I love South America!! And if you can write her a letter, do it!! She needs all of the encouragement she can get...we all know what it's like to be discouraged and having an uplifiting letter always helps. Here is her address in Argentina so you can send her a letter:

Oh and I went to Body Worlds. Interesting...and weird. But definitely interesting. I have no clue how anyone was able to so accurately dissect those bodies. It was really interesting though. I'd advise everyone to check it out if you have the time (and money, of course).
